Three checklists before you start
Prepare a useful quotation request

- Share drawings, site photos and approximate dimensions.
- Identify the current stage and requested scope.
- State material preferences and target dates.
- Ask for clear inclusions, exclusions and next steps.
Compare scope before totals
- Match item descriptions and units.
- Identify missing or provisional items.
- Clarify supply versus installation responsibilities.
- Check specifications and material allowances.
- Record revisions before agreeing a quotation.
Keep a clear completion record
- Review the agreed scope with the team.
- List outstanding details and responsibilities.
- Collect relevant documents and care instructions.
